about

On the evening of January 12, a series of earthquakes with magnitudes of 6.5 to 7.3 struck Haiti in the highly populated area of Department Ouest, 10 miles from Port-au-Prince. This disaster left over 200,000 people dead and a majority of the country homeless without food, water and supplies. The vibrations hit home in America for Radiant Amar, Knowlove and a group of powerful 1st graders from Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School. With a strong desire to help, they decided to send the Haitian people the gift of love, music and hope.

Please help the wonderful people of Haiti.

lyrics

I send my heart to Haiti
And I hope that it gets there
I'm gonna wrap it on up now
Send it express airmail
I send my heart to Haiti
Because they are crying
The people are scared
They seen too much dying
So, I gotta stand up
And do what's right
My people won't go down
Without a fight
Oh Haiti...
Kinbé La!
